APHP to streamline its Procure-to-Pay processes with Proactis

Proactis, the global spend management company, has announced that APHP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris) has selected Proactis to digitise its ordering process, including the set-up of a supplier network and catalogue management solution, both connected to SAP.

APHP is the public hospital system of the city of Paris and its suburbs and the largest hospital system in Europe. The organisation employs more than 90 000 people (practitioners and administrative staff) in 44 hospitals, and has more than one million patients per year.

APHP was looking for a solution to optimise its Procure-to-Pay process. The group's main objectives were to guarantee data reliability through the provision of product catalogues for orders, similar to online sales sites, to provide an easy-to-use tool for a better user experience, and to reduce the number of litigations by making supplier invoicing more reliable. The solution would also need to integrate with SAP so that actual receipts could be sent to suppliers.

Thanks to its ongoing contract with UniHA – a major purchasing organisation for hospitals – Proactis was able to offer APHP the implementation of a Business Network for the management of supplier information and interactions, as well as a catalogue management solution. Using The Supplier Network, APHP plans to digitise 700,000 purchase orders and manage more than 200 catalogues through the Proactis platform.
