TGE Gas Engineering GmbH extends Proactis Sourcing solution with Supplier Relationship Management

Proactis, the global spend management company, today announced that TGE Gas Engineering GmbH has chosen to extend its Proactis Source-to-Contract solution with Supplier Relationship Management.

In July 2019, TGE Gas Engineering GmbH, a worldwide energy company, took the decision to extend its Source-to-Contract solution provided by Proactis. This means that the company will now be able to not only improve its sourcing processes, but also its supplier management.

TGE originally selected the Proactis Sourcing solution in August 2018, but the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor, who is working on the development and construction of storage facilities for liquefied gases, decided to supplement the module with supplier management.

By implementing both solutions, TGE aims to improve supplier qualification and evaluation, among other things. During the entire supplier qualification process, all information is recorded in the system. This includes, for example, decisions on necessary qualification steps, the upload of test reports and other relevant documentation.

Customisable electronic questionnaires are made available to the company for the evaluation of suppliers with the respective results being weighted and almost nothing has to be done manually anymore. The supplier results can be called up at any time.

The new solution will make it easier to plan and manage repetitive tasks, greatly reducing manual processing and allowing TGE employees to focus on more strategic tasks. The result is savings in administrative costs, as the automation allows employees to concentrate more on their actual tasks, as well as increased efficiency, compliance and transparency in the company’s supplier management will also improve.
