The British Heart Foundation

After meeting Proactis at a procurement exhibition, the British Heart Foundation chose a managed reverse Auction to procure office supplies and computer consumables. An Auction was felt to be the most suitable method of negotiation for the goods they were buying.

“Proactis staff were a pleasure to deal with and provided an excellent service throughout. The savings we will realise as a result of this Auction exercise will make a vital contribution to our fight against disease of the heart and circulation.”

Benefits to the foundation
The British Heart Foundation found the managed Auction an extremely quick and straightforward process to set up and execute. Using the managed Auction option removed the need for training and implementation and was an ideal way to try the software and see what level of cost savings could be achieved. The suppliers taking part in the Auction all gave positive feedback and found the process very straightforward.

The Auction resulted in the acquisition of a new supplier and a 12% cost saving, 40% overall from the exercise compared to the previous contract.
