TÜV SÜD implements Proactis SAP UI to optimise procurement processes
15 May 2019 - Proactis, the global spend management and B2B eCommerce provider, has implemented SAP UI5 and a new intuitive procurement interface, with new UX/UI for Catalogue and Search functionality, at TÜV SÜD.
TÜV SÜD offers an extensive range of certification, audition and advisory services. More than 24.000 employees, located in more than 1.000 subsidiaries worldwide work on the optimisation of technics, systems and Know-How.
Since 2011, TÜV SÜD has used a purchasing platform run by Proactis, which covers the whole operative procurement process in a clear and efficient way. In February 2019, the company extended its Proactis solution in 57 legal entities worldwide, to further simplify the procurement process by improving the experience for all users.
Using the Proactis Catalogue and Search solutions through The Business Network, TÜV SÜD was able to more than double its purchase order items within the system and substantially reduce maverick spend.

Our target is to simplify procurement and implement a more modern, user-friendly system. Proactis is helping us to improve the customer experience significantly using UI5 technologies. The new Catalogue and Search functionalities have been integrated seamlessly,” stated Thomas Sjöberg, Head of Procurement Governance, Analytics and Operations at TÜV SÜD.
The new Proactis UI5-based interface supports the demand to create and track Shopping carts in just a couple of clicks. Approvals are possible by email or via a mobile App, and every step of the process is captured digitally.
The new processes are part of the global TÜV SÜD strategy to ensure an increased sustainable digitalisation.
