DLA Piper Global Law Firm Selects PROACTIS eProcurement

News Facts

  • PROACTIS, the specialist in spend control and eProcurement, today announced that DLA Piper, one of the world's largest legal services providers, has selected the PROACTIS eProcurement solution to streamline and automate its purchasing process.
  • DLA Piper has 4,200 lawyers in offices throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the United States; and represents more clients in a broader range of geographies and practice disciplines than virtually any other law firm in the world.
  • PROACTIS will play a key part to DLA Piper's spend management program through automating requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services, decentralising buying, connecting to suppliers directly, and improving compliance with authorisation policies.
  • The system is currently being implemented at DLA Piper US, Baltimore office and is set to be rolled-out across multi-sites and locations.

About the Solution

  • A key requirement of DLA Piper is a flexible eProcurement solution for IT-spending-specific workflows (IT hardware, software, warranties and consultancies etc.) to put the right people in the approval process.
  • In particular, PROACTIS will streamline the self-service requisitioning for one-time orders - generate quick quotes, solicit online responses and then convert them to a purchase order. This includes electronic forms to ensure that goods and services are properly specified, and embedded workflow for review and approval prior to funds being committed.
  • The user interface of the PROACTIS eProcurement solution is highly intuitive and very user-friendly to support none-procurement employees and facilitate compliance to organisational policies and rules.
  • DLA Piper joins a long list of PROACTIS clients in the legal sector including Herbert Smith, Clifford Chance, Eversheds, Begbies Traynor and The Law Society.
