Northern Petroleum Embarks on Spend Control Project with PROACTIS
PROACTIS, the spend control and eProcurement specialist, today announced Northern Petroleum as the latest organisation in the oil and gas sector to embark on a PROACTIS spend control project through accredited partner, Touchstone.
PROACTIS has an enviable track record in the oil and gas sector with clients including Addax Petroleum, Star Energy, ROC Oil and Harouge Oil.
Northern Petroleum has operations in The Netherlands, UK, Spain, Italy and Guyane, and will use the PROACTIS suite of eProcurement solutions to improve cost control and streamline the procure-to-pay cycle.
Modules selected by Northern Petroleum, which will be integrated to their Infor FMS SunSystems finance platform, include:
- Purchasing: Automates the purchase-to-pay cycle, ensuring compliance with organisational sourcing and authorisation rules and providing full visibility of the cost pipeline.
- Employee Expenses: Replaces the paper-based expense claim process with an electronic system for submitting claims, managing authorisation and eliminating maverick spend and fraud.
- Document Scanning: Automatically scans paper documents, such as invoices, eliminating the manual re-keying of data and removing time and error from the invoice matching process.
- Stores: Records and controls stock items, such as drilling equipment, to track equipment and ensure purchases are only made when necessary.
- Contract Management: Provides a central repository of supplier contracts, providing visibility to buyers at time of purchase, automatic capture of activity, and reminders for key dates and events.
