Benenden Hospital Trust Goes Live with PROACTIS Purchasing Solution
Independent hospital streamlines its day-to-day purchasing activities and gains control of spend with PROACTIS
PROACTIS, the spend control and eProcurement specialist, today announced the completion of a purchase-to-pay project for Benenden Hospital Trust that will streamline and automate the purchasing process, imposing vital control and visibility over spending.
The Trust, which provides diagnostic, surgical and medical services to over 900,000 member and nominee subscribers, has implemented the PROACTIS purchasing solution to help simplify the day-to-day purchasing process. The system has been integrated to the Trust's finance system to manage the whole purchase-to-pay cycle, from requisition, order, approval, goods receipt, invoice matching and discrepancy resolution.
The Trust is dedicated to sourcing goods and services at best value, from surgical equipment to stationery. The PROACTIS solution with its intuitive web interface will make it easy for staff to purchase from preferred suppliers at best value and ensure that all orders are pre-approved by the relevant manager.
The reporting functionality within PROACTIS will enable managers to have full visibility of the cost pipeline and analyse the company's committed and actual spend.
The next stage of the project will see the Trust implementing the PROACTIS contract management solution to improve the visibility and control of contracts throughout the contract lifecycle and ensure that the organisation consistently utilises them to get best value for money when buying goods and services.
