Business & Enterprise North East Selects PROACTIS
BE-NE to implement PROACTIS Spend Control and Infor FMS SunSystems
Proactis partner, LAKE, today announced that it is to supply and implement a Finance system based on PROACTIS and Infor FMS SunSystems for Business & Enterprise North East (BE-NE).
BE-NE is an independent private sector company which provides a single regional support service for current and potential entrepreneurs. Formed in 2007, BE-NE is a fast growing organisation that was recently included in The Journal Top 250.
Stuart Slorach, Financial Controller for BE-NE, explains the motivation for system change: "Business & Enterprise is a rapidly growing company. We were finding that the systems we had in place were not adequate or flexible enough to keep pace with the business. It couldn't produce reports quickly and did not have the flexibility to enable us to slice and dice the data in a way that would be useful for operational and financial management."
An essential requirement was to improve operational efficiency, particularly in the area of purchasing. We were operating a totally inefficient and manual procurement system. We desperately needed an electronic solution that would allow us to track and monitor all of our purchasing activity to ensure it was happening in a timely manner and would provide complete visibility of spend."
The selection of the LAKE solution followed a formal process that included a public contract notice in the Official Journal. Upon awarding the contract to LAKE, Stuart Slorach makes the following observations.
'We were very impressed with the functionality of the solution, particularly the reporting. It provides the analysis flexibility we need; it is easy to use and will enable us to develop a system of self-service reporting."
Adrian Howard, General Manager for LAKE, concludes: "We are delighted to welcome Business & Enterprise North East. This proves the value of focussing on customer needs, focussing on the combination of Proactis and Infor FMS SunSystems software, and retaining expertise in the business for the long term benefit of our clients."
