Yorkshire Forward Joins the PROACTIS Shared Service CMS Platform
Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency charged with
improving the Yorkshire & Humber Economy, has adopted the
PROACTIS shared Contract Management and Sourcing programme already
used by 22 local authorities in the Yorkshire & Humber
region.
Hosted by Leeds City Council, the Supplier & Contract
Management System (SCMS) is a single-instance solution for Contract
Management, eSourcing and Supplier Management. Today the programme
manages some 2,000 contracts valued at around £2.3 billion per
annum, and the PROACTIS eSourcing module is currently advertising
1,000 live opportunities.
By using this shared service to source and manage suppliers,
Yorkshire Forward will be able to drive efficiencies and maximise
the use of budgets, ultimately achieving best value for taxpayers'
money.
