Staffordshire County Council goes live with PROACTIS

PROACTIS today announces that Staffordshire County Council has become the latest Local Authority to go-live with PROACTIS eProcurement software. The Council has deployed PROACTIS Sourcing, Contract & Supplier Management applications manage the majority of its tendering and contract management requirements.

Paul Timmins, eTendering Lead Officer, confirms that "the Council is now reaping the benefits from the speed of data-interchange between supplier and buyer; ease of preparation and management of tenders; supporting the sustainability agenda by reducing supplier paper usage and contributing generally to the Public Sector efficiency savings requirements". Furthermore the system meets the Council's requirements for 'lean systems thinking' - an agenda which is now taking priority within Local Government.

Staffordshire County Council is the latest in a long line of Public Authorities to choose PROACTIS, with other UK authorities including London Borough of Merton, Scottish Borders Council, London Borough of Newham, Caerphilly CBC, Bristol CC and Denbighshire CBC. PROACTIS has also made an impact into the North American Public Sector over the last year, with Authorities such as the State Treasury of Pennsylvania, HART and DART.
