Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust has become the latest organisation to select the PROACTIS Strategic Procurement solution. The Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust is based on one site on the north western edge of the city of Bath. It has traditionally served the City of Bath, the whole of Bath and North East Somerset (BANES), the majority of the western half of Wiltshire and the Mendip area of Somerset - a total population of some 450,000. The trust has 660 beds and 4,800 employees. The trust will implement the PROACTIS Supplier, Sourcing and Contract Management modules to enable them to get better visibility and control over procurement activity across the hospital. Martyn Howard-Evans, Head of Procurement at the Trust said “After a competitive tendering exercise we felt that the PROACTIS solution was the most comprehensive system for the needs of a large and complex NHS organisation like ourselves. Once implemented the application will help us deliver our savings targets and provide value for money through better procurement as well as enabling us to better manage the risk inherent in the procurement process.” |
