PROACTIS Appoints President for North American Operations
PROACTIS, a global Spend Control and eProcurement solution provider, today announced that Ed Bauer has been appointed President, PROACTIS Holdings North America to further develop the growing US and Canadian markets for the PROACTIS brand.
Ed Bauer joins PROACTIS from Vinimaya, a provider of procurement marketplace and supplier catalogue services, where he was Senior Vice President. Prior to Vinimaya, Ed spent over 30 years in enterprise software companies, including EMC Corporation, Kazeon Software and Legato, during which he held a number of senior management roles driving success in multi-million dollar customer projects, both in the US and globally.
It is an exciting time for Ed to be joining PROACTIS. In 2014, the leadership team announced its ambitious growth strategy and completed a series of new acquisitions, most recently Intesource – a leading provider of eSourcing services including eAuction managed services and category expertise, with a special focus on grocery, drug, restaurant, hospitality and other retail segments in North America and intention to build on PROACTIS’s strong global market position.
Ed will be based in Cincinnati, and will lead the integration and expansion of Intesource, based in Phoenix, and PROACTIS Inc., headquartered in Boston. Ed will also be involved in the global PROACTIS team providing expertise to other markets as required.
“We are pleased to welcome Ed to the team and are confident that PROACTIS will benefit from his broad experience in the enterprise software and cloud-based solutions market to grow sales in North America,” said Rod Jones, CEO of PROACTIS. “Ed’s background will further support PROACTIS' position as a market leading solution provider in the region. Ed is equipped with the leadership skills PROACTIS needs to ensure it strengthens its focus on delivering greater bottom-line value to customers.”
PROACTIS' growing client base in the US includes leading brand names, such as: Meijer, Fifth Third Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), Government of Barbados, Family Dollar, and Price Chopper. Globally, PROACTIS clients include CBRE, FTSE, Lloyds of London and Ahli United Bank.
“Customers are increasingly looking at ways to accelerate adoption of new cloud solutions and managed services, in order to automate and transform their business processes,” said Ed. “PROACTIS has an exceptional track record in ensuring customers realise fast, sustained results using the unique combination of software tools and expert services that are right for them. My background is focused on working closely with organisations to ensure they achieve maximum return from their technology investments. In addition, PROACTIS has great people who are passionate about delivering a new generation of software solutions and expert services that are finally helping organisations to achieve significant results from their Spend Control initiatives.”
