With greater savings as the main driver, the University of Surrey was looking for ways to make its purchase-to-pay (P2P) process more efficient and attuned to best practice. The initial project objective was to introduce best value electronic purchasing and hands-free invoicing with 15 high-volume, preferred suppliers.
The University of Surrey selected EGS, now a PROACTIS company, as its eProcurement solutions partner.
Within the first year, the University has enabled 30% of its orders to be placed through its eMarketplace using PROACTIS and has achieved its first year target of invoices with high volume suppliers being received electronically via XML. Moving forwards, the University is focused on supplier adoption and management to advance their strategy with active support from PROACTIS.
