University of Aberdeen Deploys the EGS Marketplace from PROACTIS
PROACTIS, a global Spend Control and eProcurement solution provider, today announced that the University of Aberdeen has deployed the EGS Marketplace to streamline purchasing online. The news means that 50 percent of universities in Scotland now use the Marketplace to browse and choose suppliers online using a single shopping basket and price comparison tools to get best value.
PROACTIS acquired the EGS Marketplace from EGS Group Limited early this year, to further strengthen its leading position in the UK Public Sector which now consists of approximately 200 Public Sector organisations controlling over £15bn of public spending across 150,000+ suppliers.
The project commenced in February and the University of Aberdeen has already identified benefits. The cloud-based solution is helping to streamline the management of suppliers, make purchasing easy, eliminate paper and automate the ordering and buying process. This will result in a reduction in the cost of purchasing and greater efficiencies in invoice processing.
