Coillte Wins Three National Procurement Awards
PROACTIS, a global Spend Control and eProcurement solution provider, today congratulates its customer, Coillte – a commercial organisation operating in forestry, land based businesses, renewable energy and panel products – on receiving three National Procurement Awards, for its leadership in procurement best practice and achieving bottom-line value from technology automation.
The National Procurement Awards were presented at DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin last week. The cream of Ireland’s procurement industry were recognised and celebrated in front of an audience of almost 350 executives. 19 prestigious trophies were presented to the very best organisations in Ireland’s procurement sector.
Honoured in the Overall Excellence in Procurement, Best Use in Technology and Best Green Initiative categories, Coillte was praised for representing some of the very best procurement initiatives and demonstrating an ability to constantly raise the bar, innovate and maintain their commitment to achieving excellence in Spend Control.
“These awards are a vindication of the hard work, innovation and dedication of a team that is at the forefront of this dynamic procurement profession,” said Simon Dadswell, Marketing Director, PROACTIS. “Coillte’s use of procurement technology from PROACTIS is a blue print for organisations looking to maximise savings and value, and increase collaboration across their supply chain.”
“What makes Coillte’s use of technology different is that they have fully embraced an end-to-end solution for the entire procurement process through to payment. This includes PROACTIS suite of Source-to-Contract and Purchase-to-Pay solutions fully integrated to UNIT4 Agresso and Coillte's internal operational systems. In particular, Coillte are unique in the degree in which they have enabled their suppliers to manage their own data, upload their own documents, tender for work, authorise their contracts online, and generate and transmit their own electronic invoices.”
Coillte have successfully removed paper completely from the process by utilising technology to deliver an end to end Spend Control and eProcurement solution. This has made a significant contribution towards Coillte’s overall target of a 20% reduction in overhead costs.
