Eclipse & PROACTIS Sign Significant Partnership to Transform Procurement in APAC

News Facts
  • PROACTIS, the specialist in Spend Control and eProcurement, and Eclipse Computing (Australia) Pty Ltd (Eclipse), the leading provider of intelligent business solutions to the mid-and enterprise market, today announced a significant partnership to advance a range of source-to-contract and purchase-to-pay solutions to the APAC market. Representing a strategic decision, the agreement reflects the success of PROACTIS in helping organisations reduce costs and improve efficiencies in a simple, quick and cost-effective way.
  • The partnership agreement follows a recent new customer-win announcement:Eclipse provides Customs and Border Protection with PROACTIS - a new procurement and contract management system. The technology will facilitate automated spending approval processes, mandatory reporting requirements, contract administration and market evaluations in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
  • "Current economic conditions are driving a marked increase in demand for Spend control and eProcurement solutions. The fact that PROACTIS already integrates with our customers' existing ERP and financial systems was important to our partnership. Our customers now have an effective means to reduce costs that complements their existing solution," said Bradley Stroop, CEO, Eclipse. "PROACTIS offers a best-in-class approach that is proven to help organisations with complex business processes and IT infrastructure to cut costs and improve efficiencies."
  • The partnership is focused on offering Eclipse customers the solutions to gain the best possible value for their purchased goods and services, while ensuring organisation-wide compliance with established procurement policies, maintaining clear visibility of their cost pipeline, and mitigating supplier-related risk. In particular, to support centre-led Spend Control processes across multiple locations or business units, and even ERP systems. PROACTIS' unique architecture is specifically designed for organisations that are facing frequent, ongoing change - a hallmark of many of the international organisations in the APAC region.
  • Paul Waylett, CEO of PROACTIS APAC, said: "We have taken direct feedback from the Eclipse customer base to develop solutions that will improve their Spend Control processes. This includes support for geographically dispersed locations, multiple business units, or operations. These organisations have special requirements that go beyond those of an organisation with a simpler environment or what standard ERP procurement can support. We are very excited about the Eclipse partnership as PROACTIS will deliver demonstrable value to Eclipse customers starting with The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service."
